Many customers reach out asking the question… My current Allstar MVP 110925 remote does not have dip switches inside of it, how will I program my new Digi-Code DC-MAG remote?
The answer to this is rather simple you’ll just create a new dipswitch code for your new DC-MAG remote control since the Allstar MVP opener has several memory ‘slots’ to store additional dip switch codes.
1. Move at least one of the dip switches (but as many as you’d like) on your DC-MAG remote from the default setting to a different position than it came and make sure the A/B selector switch is also set to “B”.

2. Now head over to your MVP wall station inside the garage. There you’ll find the learn button that you’ll need to press using a paper clip or small screwdriver.

3. Once you press the learn button the work light on your garage door opener should turn on and stay on for about 30 seconds. While that light is on press the button on your newly coded DC-MAG remote. The work light on the garage door opener should now click off.
4. Your new remote is now programmed to your MVP Garage Door Opener, press the button on the remote and your door should now open and close.
To program additional DC-MAG remotes all you will need to do is copy the dip switch settings from your newly programmed remote control into the unprogrammed remote control and make sure the A/B selector is on “B” and it will automatically work afterwards.
